[Product Update] Career & Study-Abroad Mentor Platform Is Live! Feature Roadmap 🧭

Hello 👋🏻 I'm Jason, Co-founder of OfferLand. This is the Mentor platform's “product iteration roadmap,” where I'll share the latest on product iterations, feature launches and user feedback, with real-time updates on features that help our Mentors & Mentees!

1. New: Reviews section 💬

For a mentor-matching platform, reviews are a basic, even essential, feature. What makes OfferLand different is our focus on how authentic and useful reviews are. Reviews include a field where users can upload proof of working with a Mentor, and reviews can also be posted anonymously. If a Mentee uploads proof of the engagement (a contract, chat screenshots, email exchanges, etc.), OfferLand will verify the Mentee–Mentor relationship internally and add a label to that review so other users can judge its authenticity.

2. New: Apply to become a Mentor & get a Mentor recommendation ⭐️

We've added two buttons, “Apply to become a Mentor” and “Recommend a Mentor for me.” We hope more people will join as mentors. And if you're not sure what you need help with and would like us to recommend a suitable mentor, you can get help through the Recommend a Mentor for me link.

3. Change: Mentor filter categories 🔍

Mentors are now clearly split into “Career” & “Study,” and career mentors can set their industry (e.g., tech, consulting, finance, and so on) as a category tag, so users can quickly find Mentors in similar fields.

4. Change: “Organization tag intro” under mentor names 💭

We've changed the “Organization” tag under each Mentor. Mentors can drag to reorder the “Work & Academic Experience” section on their own mentor page, and we'll show the organization name (company or school) at the top of that list first, under the mentor's name.

5. New: Articles by the mentor & similar Mentors 📌

We've added two sections to every mentor's profile page so users can get to know each Mentor better! We also hope this encourages Mentors to share their expertise and experience by writing articles, while building potential Mentees' trust in them.
