Hong Kong Students in the UK Are This Rich!

In my first year of high school I transferred from Taiwan to the UK and started first year over there. At first I wanted to go because I really wanted to experience studying abroad, plus I'm a Harry Potter fan, so I talked my parents into letting me go to high school in the UK. The school we picked has a lot of Asian students, so quite a few of my friends are Chinese, and a really high share of them are from Hong Kong. Every time I went out with them I felt so much pressure, because they'd be head to toe in designer brands and then go eat meals that cost over £100 each, and afterwards maybe go luxury shopping, buying and buying without even looking at the prices. They were always considerate and wouldn't eat anywhere that expensive when they went out with me, but over time that spending gap meant we weren't as close as before😢, I could really feel how different our worlds are= =
