Art schools abroad are easy to get into❓

First of all: dead wrong❌

As pandemic restrictions have lifted, more and more people are willing to study abroad, so there are more applicants too, and popular majors now get more applicants than before. Some students want a shortcut and apply to majors they weren't really interested in just to study abroad. Below I'm sharing some schools and majors that art students often apply to abroad, along with their basic admission requirements. Don't assume art schools are easier to get into❗️

Some of the better-known art schools🈶:

🏫 Royal College of Art application requirements

Language scores: IELTS 6.5 (writing 6.0)

Documents to prepare: diploma, portfolio, personal statement, writing sample, recommendation letters, passport, visa

*The portfolio also comes with lots of rules, such as the paper size for transportation design and limits on how many images you can upload for a fashion portfolio. You can find more on the school's website

🏫 University of the Arts London application requirements

Language requirements: accepts a range of language tests

Documents to prepare: diploma, personal statement, recommendation letters, passport, visa; some majors require relevant work experience; include creative work in your portfolio

🏫 Rhode Island School of Design application requirements

The portfolio really matters for studying art abroad, and preparing one takes a lot of time and effort!
