My habits at home vs. my habits in the UK

Not sure if it's just me
but living in Taiwan and studying in the UK are two completely different lifestyles for me (except that I stay up late every night no matter where I am)

Perfume 🫧

When I was studying in Taiwan, whether or not I had makeup on, I just didn't wear perfume, or only did two or three sprays, going for a natural scent,

but in the UK, makeup or not, I go crazy with perfume (the Brits have rubbed off on me hahaha), and I spray it until my whole body smells of it, to the point where people can tell I'm coming from far away just by my scent hahaha

Food

In Taiwan I'm 100% someone who eats out, getting takeout for every meal and never cooking myself. Compared with the UK, prices in Taiwan are still relatively low, so with the same living budget I spend freely in Taiwan, and every time I'm back in Taiwan on break I drink bubble tea every single day. But in the UK I'd never buy bubble tea. The same chain costs several times as much there and doesn't even taste the same. I'd rather find a recipe online than give the bubble tea shop my money. I don't order delivery there either: not only might the food be a letdown, the delivery fees really add up. I'd rather cook bad food myself and live miserably than blow my whole budget every month😓

Hobbies

In Taiwan I love walking along the riverbank, going on picnics with friends, or soaking up the sun at the beach🌞. Key point: soaking up the sun. Since coming to the UK to study, I'm happy if I see the sun at all in a month. In winter the sun barely comes out for a few hours, and it rains way too often. Rain every day really gets me down😫, so since I came to the UK my hobbies have all moved indoors, like making press-on nails and building some Lego...

It honestly feels like two different people's lives. Does this happen to you too🤣
