What Is Studying Abroad at Waseda Like❓ Studying and Having Fun Isn't Hard at All
My spring semester at Waseda, full of laughter and tears✨
Hi everyone~ I'm Isn't!!! Today I want to share a few thoughts on studying abroad at Waseda (*´∀`)~♥ I hope it helps anyone planning to come to Japan!
I'll cover four topics: 🇯🇵 Classes | Extracurriculars | Daily life | Reflections
✨Classes✨
🏷️What surprised me most was that every class runs a full 100 minutes :) Later in the semester I always had to bring coffee, or I'd zone out toward the end!
🏷️There's a big focus on group discussion and presenting in front of the class! I really like this way of learning. Group discussions let you hear how students from different countries think, and at the end each group sends someone up to present its topic and conclusions. I almost always volunteered to present🥹 Grab every chance to speak!

Sneaking in a look at my calendar too: it's packed🥰 Such a full life!
✨Extracurriculars✨
🏷️Clubs: I made lots of good friends in my club this semester. We'd get meals together after class, go out on weekends and so on! We made so many great memories💓
🏷️ICC: Early on I went to language exchange events a lot. They're pretty fun and you can meet lots of people! I met a really, really good Japanese friend there
🏷️Festivals and competitions: Waseda has so many events💦 Every event season you can feel the youthful energy of college life
For the Waseda-Keio games, everyone makes a point of buying Waseda gear to cheer, so cute!💓

The atmosphere at the Waseda-Keio games is electric and totally contagious! Everyone sings the school song together to cheer for their school💪
(Fun fact: you really can find the Waseda school song at karaoke in Japan🥰)
✨Daily life✨
🏷️During the semester: the workload is fairly heavy, so I mostly focused on homework and club activities! Only on weekends could I go out with friends.
🏷️During summer break: I set myself different plans, mainly split into “play hard” and “work hard” hahaha🤣
“Play hard”: make the most of the time to travel with friends and explore my favorite thing, cafés☕️🥐✨
“Work hard”: three main goals: grow my account / sign up for events / write copy. Besides having fun, of course I still want to set goals so I can grow over the summer
✨Reflections✨
🏷️After this semester I've sorted things into two areas for myself: “hard skills” and “soft skills”! Of course there's still a lot to work on and improve💦 I feel this semester is when I gained and grew the most. Because I finally made my dream of studying abroad come true, I treasure and make the most of every second here even more✨
At the same time, I hope I can explore myself here, discover more possibilities, and keep taking on challenges and unlocking new levels💓💓💓
That's my little share💦 I hope I can become a high-energy girl who keeps working hard, doesn't give up easily and keeps challenging herself hahaha💓🥰 If you're interested in studying in Japan or Japanese café hopping, feel free to follow me🥰
