Share🙋 the study-abroad story you really want to tell but feel embarrassed about

I'll go first🙌

Anyone studying in Paris probably knows this well: a thief might suddenly rush at you and grab your wallet. I never believed it would happen to me, because I figured I look like a broke student

But last week on the metro, a guy who looked like a high schooler suddenly ran up and tried to snatch my phone. Once I reacted, I gripped it hard, wouldn't let go, and started cussing him out in French nonstop🤬, which drew quite a few passersby's attention

Luckily, in the end he didn't get my phone😅

I really wanted to brag to my friends about beating a local thief, but screaming at someone in French made me seem like a shrew, so I never told them🥹 So I'm sharing it with you all here instead
