Studying in Germany | Is a master's in Germany hard? Sign up now for our Germany study-abroad talk! #GiftWhenYouSignUp🇩🇪
Hi hi ~ I'm Kelly, founder of German-Preture (德映國際). My last post busted some myths about studying in Germany. Today I'm sharing 3 questions our students often run into when going to Germany for a master's:
❓ Question 1. When you apply for a master's, do they look at where you got your bachelor's?
▶They mainly look at your undergraduate grades, not at your university's ranking!
When you apply for a master's in Germany, the university mainly looks at your undergraduate grades and language scores. It doesn't factor in your school's prestige or ranking!
So don't hold yourself back. Whatever school you're from, you have a chance to study in Germany!
❓ Question 2. Will I be able to keep up with the courses?
▶Overall, university courses in Taiwan are solid enough. Apart from getting used to a different teaching style at first, Taiwanese students are no less knowledgeable than Germans!
Many of our students worry, while preparing to study in Germany, about whether they can keep up with a German master's program.
From German-Preture's extensive experience, Taiwanese students are excellent! You don't need to worry about knowledge; it's more that you'll need some time to adjust to how classes work in Germany, which is completely normal.
Once you know which school you're going to, we suggest looking at that school's bachelor's courses and studying up on anything you haven't covered. It helps you get up to speed and eases your anxiety at the same time!
❓ Question 3. Is a master's in Germany hard?
▶It really depends on the person. Kelly believes that once you make up your mind, even the hardest things can be solved!
Master's programs do differ in difficulty across schools and fields, and everyone's situation and strengths are different, so it's hard to measure with the same yardstick. But one belief never changes: believe you can do it!
