I'm studying abroad now, so how am I still stuck with a teacher this **

One of my classes this semester makes us read a ton of articles, so the regular homework is reading articles and answering questions, and in class we discuss them with the people at our table. But it's really boring, so lots of people leave after the first half of class, and sometimes I do too 🤣

Then I immediately got an email from him asking why I skipped, and he deleted the attendance I'd scanned in for the last class too. And that's not all⋯ he doesn't allow eating, drinking or using electronic devices in class (not even during the mid-class break), makes us print all the handouts at the print shop he picked, and takes a photo every class to check against attendance and delete anyone who wasn't there. On top of that, our school's rule is that you aren't counted absent within the first 10 minutes of class and can still scan the code, but in his lecture he takes the code down after just 3 minutes, and in seminar he won't even put the code up once it's on the hour ＝＝

Thank goodness I only have his class for one semester, or I'd seriously lose it...

Has anyone else studying abroad run into a professor like this? Or are there professors who are even bigger a**holes...
