New TOEFL Reading 6.0 / 6.0: My Perfect-Score Takeaways

I find the new TOEFL quite interesting, because it adds a lot of new reminders and everyday-life content.

With the new "fill in the word" questions, Reading has become the second trickiest of the four sections (the trickiest is probably still Speaking),

and "fill in the word" is definitely not a simple all-or-nothing test of whether you know the word.

The key is how to judge quickly, under time pressure, "do I actually recognize this word I'm looking at?" If you do, how do you come up with it fast; if you decide you don't, stop wasting time and move on. After all, it's up to you to budget your overall reading time.

In this video, I walk you through every question type in the new Reading section and share some tips for each type that I personally find useful. I hope it gives some direction to anyone who doesn't know the new TOEFL yet or is just starting to prepare!

Teaching is also learning, so if you have any questions about the new TOEFL, feel free to bring them up and discuss~~
