Studying Abroad in Germany or France: How Should I Choose?

Hi everyone~

I'd like to ask those of you who have studied in these two countries: could you share your experiences?

After working for a few years, I've had a dream of studying abroad

But since my finances are limited, I ruled out the US and the UK right away, because tuition in those two countries is really high😅

I used to work as a PM at a foreign software company. While working there I gradually got interested in programming languages, and I came to really admire engineers as a profession

(In department meetings, the engineers really are the boss =3=)

That's what gave me the idea of becoming an engineer

However, since my undergrad major wasn't related, I can't apply for a master's in a different field, so right now I'm thinking of switching majors and going straight into CS

I compared France and Germany mainly on tuition and living costs; after all, Germany even offers chances to study tuition-free. Besides tuition, I'm also weighing things like getting permanent residency and job opportunities (since I'm going abroad to study anyway, I'd still like to stay and work there

I'd really love to hear about your experiences. Thank you all so much🙏
