Inside LVMH's Japan HQ🇯🇵｜What it's like to attend the Open House Event⁉️pt1

You read that right, I got into LVMH's Japan headquarters for an event!!!

Today I'm sharing the most memorable and rewarding experience of my time studying in Japan🔥

There was so much going on that I'm splitting it into two posts📝 This first one covers how I signed up~

Quick background: what is LVMH??? LVMH is Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the world's largest multinational luxury conglomerate. Almost every big brand you can think of is in it: Louis Vuitton, Dior, Givenchy, Hennessy, Moët & Chandon, Sephora, Bulgari and Tiffany & Co., and more

LVMH Japan regularly recruits student ambassadors from different countries and has them organize events and competitions🧑‍🎓 They post about the events on social media to draw students in and help them get to know the LVMH group💓 Last summer break I was so bored, and I happened to find out LVMH Japan was holding an Open House Event✨

🔎What's the event about❓

✏️ 09:30-18:00, a full day of activities at LVMH's Japan headquarters in Tokyo

✏️ Mainly exploring the secrets of the luxury industry with university students from different countries (mostly in English and Japanese)

✏️ A chance to interact up close with executives from LVMH brands including Christian Dior, LOEWE, TAG Heuer and Parfums Givenchy, and learn about their roles and luxury-industry insider stories through fun, relaxed challenges

You have to apply and get selected~📝

The application asks about your motivation, why you're applying, what you know about the luxury industry, and so on

As I remember, you had to answer in Japanese and English. After you apply, LVMH Japan reviews it🩶

If you pass the written screening, you're invited to the event

I still remember screaming in my dorm room when I got the acceptance email><😍

I'd assumed I had no chance because the competition was too strong, so.... I was over the moon when the email came✨💕
