1️⃣ How do Starbucks Rewards members collect Stars❓

❶ First you need a Starbucks membership: sign up and log in on the app, or use a Starbucks Card

❷ Show your member QR code when you pay. If you use Mobile Order with your membership linked, Stars are added automatically

❸ You earn one Star for every 60 yen you spend (I think they're pretty easy to collect)

2️⃣Are there membership tiers in Starbucks Rewards❓

❶ There are Green Star members and Gold Star members. Collect 250 Stars and you're upgraded to Gold Star

❷ Gold Star members get four big perks: a birthday treat / a Double Star Day once a month / surprise campaigns / early access to new drinks

4️⃣ What rewards can Starbucks Rewards members redeem❓

My current favorite is the ID card holder. A friend who lives in Japan gave it to me

I literally screamed when I got it, it's way too cute... and it's really well made. I love it🥰

5️⃣Waseda once hosted a Starbucks talk❓I ended up becoming good friends with a Starbucks Japan barista‼️

As I mentioned in my first post, I study at our campus Starbucks a lot🤓 It just so happened that ICC (the Waseda international exchange organization I often join) co-hosted a talk with Starbucks, and I signed up the moment I saw it!

The talk invited the Starbucks partners from our campus store to come and share with everyone😗 As soon as you walked in, you could see the partners were full of energy, and they served coffee drinks to the students

The theme was "Beyond Diversity! Accept each other, with Starbucks". At the end there was a group discussion, with one Starbucks staff member assigned to each table🤩

A cute little story✨

I was super lucky to end up in a group with a Waseda student who works part-time at Starbucks. She started the conversation by asking if I often buy coffee at the Toyama campus, and I said, really loudly, omg!!! How did you know!!! She sweetly told me they all remember me, and she even named the drink I usually order right then and there😍

I was totally flattered... and after that we really got talking~

We swapped IGs too. I'd drop by when she was working, and she'd write messages on my cup (so cute...💗

Before I went home, we also met up for a day of café hopping☕️ I'm so happy I got to meet such a great friend💝

That's my little share about Starbucks Japan Gold Star membership🤓🤓

Hope it helps anyone studying in Japan or getting ready to move there💓

Next time I'll round up Tokyo's special-concept Starbucks stores~~~
