As a loyal Starbucks fan🤓🤓🤓, I want to share all kinds of things about Starbucks in Japan~🇯🇵
Scroll down to see how, while studying in Japan, I fell for Starbucks Japan step by step (?)✨
Here are the Starbucks stores I went to most often as a student!!

Continuing this Gold Star member series, today I want to share some of the “special Starbucks stores in Japan” I've visited!
In this post I picked four special stores I especially like. If you're ever nearby, I highly recommend stopping by!

1️⃣ Nakameguro STARBUCKS RESERVE® ROASTERY TOKYO (Tokyo)
When it comes to special Starbucks stores in Japan, the Nakameguro flagship is a must-visit in Tokyo!
Designed by master architect Kengo Kuma, the building blends Japanese minimalism with a modern glass look. Each floor has a different function: not just coffee, but specialty teas, breads and desserts, and even a merchandise area
🌸 I recommend coming in spring to see the cherry blossoms with a coffee. When the whole Meguro River is in full bloom it's insanely beautiful, but it also gets insanely crowded.

2️⃣ Kawagoe Kanetsuki-dori store (Saitama)
This store is tucked away on Kawagoe's old street, full of Edo-period charm. It looks low-key and plain from outside, but it blends perfectly into the street of old Japanese buildings.
👘 Walk around Kawagoe in a kimono, and when you get tired, it's the perfect place to rest your feet. Limited-edition merchandise is also easier to get here.
It's right near Toki no Kane (時の鐘), so it's very easy to find!

3️⃣ Takanawa GATEWAY store (Tokyo)
This is actually where a Japanese friend of mine works part-time. It's a bit far from central Tokyo, but the location is really unusual (I even got a little lost): it's inside Takanawa Gateway Station. It's also Japan's first Starbucks designed specifically for office workers and remote work. True to its “office concept,” it has a simple silver-white look and private seating areas with outlets for laptops! Really well equipped!
🚄 If you happen to be around Shinagawa and want to try the remote-work vibe, check this one out xd I go there on my days off. It's really quiet and perfect for writing reports.

4️⃣ Kagurazaka-shita store (Tokyo)
Kagurazaka is already one of my personal favorite neighborhoods: artsy, quiet, and very close to my school. This Starbucks is on a side street and has two floors. My favorite spot is the window counter on the first floor, where I can watch people walk by.
📚It's very quiet inside, great for zoning out alone. Local residents often bring laptops to work here, so it feels very lived-in.

📝 Summary
These four Starbucks stores are more than places to drink coffee; they show off what's special about each area✨
If you're a Starbucks fan too, why not add these special stores to your itinerary💚
