I've split it into lunch, dinner, and coffee & light bites 🍴💕

three categories, with a quick intro to each 👀

Hope this gives new Waseda students, or anyone living near Waseda, a few options 🤍

First up, lunch:

📍ほっともっと (Hotto Motto)

A Japanese bento chain. You can order ahead on their app and pick it up at the store, so no long wait 😼

📍早稲田のこだわり屋

Right across from Building 22, unbelievably close!!!

Lots of bento options, big portions and cheap prices 🤩

There's a long line every day at lunchtime 🔥

📍図星油そば

Abura soba is kind of one of Waseda's signature foods??

I've tried three places: 武藏野アブラ學會 (Musashino Abura Gakkai), 麵珍 (Menchin) and 図星 (Zuboshi)

Of the three I like Zuboshi best. I'm not super into oil noodles,

they're too greasy for me～😵‍💫

Zuboshi is the least oily of the three, with a lighter flavor!

📍モンスターズキッチン (Monster's Kitchen)

A set-meal restaurant with huge, filling portions and pretty bold flavors～ The way you order here is unusual: there's a doll on the table that makes a noise, and when you want to order you press the doll 🥵 and a server comes to take your order xd My friend accidentally squeezed it way too loud, a total social-anxiety nightmare (even I, a huge extrovert, wanted to die 😍)

📍隴垣金城-蘭州清湯牛肉面 (Lanzhou clear-broth beef noodles)

A really authentic Chinese noodle shop!!!

They have hot and sour glass noodles, mala rice noodles and more, all fragrant, spicy and delicious. When you're craving noodles, you can't go wrong here 😏👀

📍DONDONDON

The owner is Korean, and it's a super authentic Korean restaurant!

A Korean friend was actually the one who took me there 💗

Delicious, certified by Koreans themselves 🤩

Lunch has all kinds of Korean set meals, and dinner is mostly Korean BBQ (I hear it's amazing and cheap)

A bakery right behind my dorm 🍞🫶🏻🥐

Different fresh-baked bread every day, so fragrant and so good!

I'd grab something on my way to school or whenever I walked by～

📍Uni.Shop & Cafe 125

The school's pretty café ☕️🤍

Besides coffee and light bites, it also sells Waseda merch

Last week I took my parents here for coffee and they loved it ><!!!

The bagels are good, worth ordering 😋❤️😏
